Land Rover

Land Rover Restoration

Land Rover was born in 1948 when the Rover Company of Britain introduced the first Land Rover Series I, inspired by the rugged simplicity of World War II military vehicles like the Willys Jeep. Designed by Maurice Wilks, it featured an aluminium body and four-wheel drive, tailored for agricultural and utility use. Its toughness and versatility made it instantly popular in both rural and military settings.

In 1978, Land Rover became a separate brand, branching out from utility to luxury with models like the Range Rover, introduced in 1970, which pioneered the luxury SUV segment. Over the years, ownership passed through British Leyland, BMW, and Ford, before being acquired by Tata Motors of India in 2008 under Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).

Today, Land Rover blends British heritage with modern engineering, producing iconic vehicles like the Defender, Discovery, and Range Rover, celebrated worldwide for their off-road prowess, design, and prestige.
